A new sustainable technology has brought improved Scotchgard-brand products to the carpet industry, 3M says. As a result, the Scotchgard protector and stain release limited warranty has been extended from five to seven years, and a new seven-year soil warranty has been added for nylon carpet.

New products to be rolled out will also bring about a new quality assurance and testing program to ensure Scotchgard protector treatments are applied according to specification.
