The underlayment can be used under ceramic, porcelain and most stone tile; glued-down or nailed-down hardwood; or glued-down or nailed-down engineered wood floors. According to the company, Insulayment will suppress the transfer of lateral cracking of up to ¼-inch from concrete subfloors for 15 years.
Midwest Padding pioneers Insulayment underlayment
Midwest Padding L.L.C. has developed new Insulayment underlayment for ceramic tile. Insulayment earned an “Extra Heavy” rating in Robinson Floor testing (ASTM C627) performed by the Tile Council of America.
