MANCHESTER, N.H.—CCA Global Partners has formed a joint venture with Associated Independent Stores (AIS) to create the largest network of floor covering retailers in the British Isles.

The new company will be known as Flooring One and will have 235 locations in the United Kingdom and the Republic of Ireland. The creation of Flooring One represents CCA Global Partners’ first venture into the United Kingdom.

Flooring One will provide independent retailers with marketing, training, product development, benefits, distribution, and purchasing support. The new company will also offer a variety of products, including carpet, laminate and ceramic tile.

Products for Flooring One will continue to be purchased in the United Kingdom, according to Finn Jensen, president of CCA Global Partners Europe. Sheila Cooper, managing director of AIS, and David Grebby, AIS floor coverings selector, will play key roles in Flooring One.

CCA Global Partners is the world’s largest floor covering group. AIS is the largest independent buying group of its kind in the United Kingdom.
