Norcros manufactures ceramic tile adhesives and other construction materials, as well as various adhesives for industrial applications. The company operates in Australia, Great Britain, India, Shanghai, Taiwan, Spain, Ireland and Hong Kong, and markets products under such names as Bal, Aba and Dunlop.
The acquisition will result in the addition of 400 employees to the Ardex Group and an undisclosed amount of sales.
“The synergies created by recent acquisitions have strengthened our position in key markets,” noted Herbert Goller, president and CEO of Ardex Engineered Cements. The company also acquired WW Henry Co. last year.
“Our customers will benefit from this strength,” Goller added. “At the annual Surfaces trade show in January, Ardex and WW Henry will officially launch SystemOne, the most comprehensive flooring installation and technical support system available in the industry.”
In the wake of the Norcros acquisition, the Ardex Group, through its production and marketing companies, will be active in Australia, Germany, New Zealand, France, Great Britain, Ireland, Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Finland, Austria, Spain, Poland, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Belgium, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, the United States, Brazil, China, Hong Kong, Taiwan and India.
