136 Shaw technicians featured in the R2X "Dirty Science, Clean Results" ad campaign
Shaw Industries has introduced a patented new system that combines soil resistance and stain repellency. It's name, R2X, was chosen to signify "twice the resistance" of earlier-generation treatments. According to Shaw, the one-step treatment process is unique because it is applied to the entire yarn tuft. This keeps liquids from penetrating carpet fibers and backings, the company says.
R2X will be unveiled at Surfaces 2001. It's application initially will be limited to medium- and higher-priced carpet grades in Shaw's branded and private-label lines. The carpets will carry seven- and 10-year soil and stain resistance warranties, depending on price level. For details, circle 136 on the Free Information Card.
