Sights of NWFA Convention 2001: Day 2
PALM SPRINGS, Calif. --NFT Onlinecontinues serve as your eyes and ears on this the second day of the NWFA's 16th Annual Convention. Below is a smattering of some of the sights you'd be seeing if you had been able to attend this year's event.
Traffic in the main trade show hall was brisk throughout the day.
As one might expect, manufacturers and suppliers showcased their latest and most cutting-edge products, such as the intricate medallions and feature strips that graced the booth of Marietta, Ga.-based Dynamic Laser Applications.
A relative rarity in the U.S. market only a few years ago, bamboo floors -- such as this product from the import firm of Bamboo Flooring Hawaii LLC -- were represented by various exhibitors at this year’s trade show.
Once an initial problem with the air conditioning system was resolved, show goers began to venture into the tented Pavilion Exhibit Hall adjacent to the main convention center facility.
Attendees were encouraged to peruse photos and descriptions of custom wood installations under consideration for the Floor of the Year awards and cast votes for their favorites.
A cornucopia of sanding and finishing products were demonstrated on the show floor. Here a sales rep demonstrates the features of an Alto sanding unit.
