Flooring manufacturer CFL and Morava Wood, a hardwood products producer based in Czech Republic, have announced a worldwide licensing agreement that will incorporate acoustic noise reduction technology into hardwood flooring products.
The partnership brings together CFL's innovative noise-reduction technology with Morava's expertise in hardwood manufacturing, addressing one of the most persistent challenges in hard surface flooring: sound transmission.
CFL's patented multilayered construction technology targets reflection and transmission footfall noise through strategically engineered layers designed to block specific frequencies. This technology has already been successfully implemented across various flooring categories, including laminate, wood, and thermoplastic products.
"We are launching an entirely new flooring range that combines the beauty of real wood with all the benefits of hard surfaces – the first real hardwood floor without compromise," said Antoine Babolat, CEO of Morava. The new product line aims to bridge the gap between traditional hardwood aesthetics and modern flooring innovations.
Tom Van Poyer, CEO of CFL, emphasized the strategic importance of the partnership, noting that it "solidifies CFL's lead in innovative acoustic products in the hard surface flooring category." The collaboration also aligns with both companies' commitment to sustainability and customer-focused innovation.
The licensing agreement represents a significant step forward in addressing noise concerns in premium flooring solutions, potentially opening new opportunities in both residential and commercial markets where sound reduction is crucial.
