COREtec, a Shaw Industries brand, has developed a patent-pending innovation that bridges the gap between vintage charm and modern functionality in flooring design.
The new product line, slated for 2025 release, features five distinct styles ranging from weathered oak to sun-bleached pine. The innovation lies in its specialized beveling technique that mimics the natural spacing seen in aged hardwood floors, creating an authentic reclaimed appearance without the typical maintenance challenges of vintage wood flooring.
Built on COREtec's waterproof foamed core (WPC) technology, the flooring combines aesthetic appeal with practical benefits, including enhanced comfort, noise reduction, and easy maintenance.
“Retailers tell us that consumers are choosing COREtec for premium comfort and elevated designs," said Seth Arnold, brand leader for COREtec. "In 2025, Coretec will strengthen our style leadership with an exciting line of innovative designs at this year's winter markets.”
The launch responds to market demand for premium flooring that offers both elevated design and practical durability, targeting consumers who seek vintage aesthetics without sacrificing modern convenience.
"The beauty of our new reclaimed and restored styles is they provide a time-worn hardwood aesthetic without the functional drawback that would usually be associated with hardwood planks spacing over time," said Sarah Gist, COREtec's director of product design.
