Shaw Industries Group announced its Shaw Sports Turf brand will return as The Official Synthetic Turf Provider for the College Football Playoff (CFP), coinciding with the playoff's historic expansion to 12 teams.

The partnership grants Shaw exclusive marketing rights during the CFP National Championship weekend in Atlanta, January 2025. The Georgia-based company will feature its innovative Game On artificial turf system at both Playoff Fan Central and Championship Tailgate events leading up to the championship game at Mercedes-Benz Stadium on January 20.

"We're excited to be sponsoring this event in 2025 and to have a 'home field advantage' since the national championship game will be played right here in our backyard," said Chuck McClurg, vice president of Shaw's turf division.

The Game On system, manufactured in Calhoun, Georgia, employs patented technology that integrates logos, lines, and numbers directly during production, reducing field seams while expanding design possibilities.

Ryan Allen Hall, senior director of public events and sponsorship at the College Football Playoff, expressed enthusiasm about the partnership's continuation. "We're working on a special design for the outdoor field this year to show off Shaw's manufacturing capabilities," Hall said.

Shaw Sports Turf's portfolio includes installations at major universities like Ohio State University and Louisiana State University, as well as professional venues for the Baltimore Ravens and several MLB teams.
