The Women in Sustainability Leadership Alumnae Group, a 501(c)(3) charitable organization, announced that entries have opened for the annual Women in Sustainability Leadership Awards (WSLA). The group consists of a community of WSLA award winners focused on fostering mentorship to shape the future of sustainability further.
The WSLA Awards advance, honor and connect the most powerful women at the forefront of sustainability who are making a difference in the world by initiating lasting change. Applications can be made on the WSLA Alumnae Group website from Oct. 7 to Nov. 15, 2024.
“This is one of the few awards programs that recognizes women who have dedicated years of their lives to create a better world for all of us," said Rochelle Routman, president of the WSLA Alumnae Group.
Celebrating 11 years, the hybrid in-person and virtual WSLA awards ceremony will take place during GreenBiz25, to be held Feb. 10-12, 2025, in Phoenix, Arizona. The Awards will be held on Tuesday, February 11, 6:00 – 8:30 pm at The Westin Kierland Resort & Spa in Scottsdale, Arizona. The requirements for entrants include:
Minimum 15 years of professional work experience
- Minimum seven years of sustainability management and leadership experience
- Has made a significant contribution to the sustainability profession, creating a noteworthy, lasting, and positive impact to the planet
- Values mentorship and guides other female leaders
- Demonstrates bravery and courage in the workplace
Early Bird Entry Fees: (Oct. 7 – Oct. 25)

- Government: $50
- Nonprofit: $100
Late Entry Fees: (Oct. 26 – Nov. 15):
- Corporate: $250
