Coval Technologies, a chemical manufacturer based in Stafford, Texas, has named Robert Falzone national stone and masonry director over its new stone division.

Coval produces a range of single component, thin film, clear sealers and coatings for stain and scratch resistance.

Falzone is a stone and masonry cleaning and restoration expert and one of only a few approved instructors for the Institute of Inspection Cleaning and Restoration Certification (IICRC) in the field of Stone, Masonry and Tile Certifications (SMT) in the United States. Falzone created the Coval Stone Certification Course for installers to learn to incorporate Coval products into the industry standard process of stone identification, preparation, and sealing, as well creating customized ongoing maintenance programs.

For more than 35 years, Falzone has restored stone floors and countertops everywhere from retail stores and hotels to casinos and restaurants. He has been an independent training consultant for the past five years, in addition to managing specialty cleaning and restoration projects for COIT Cleaning and Restoration.

“I have worked on the Las Vegas Strip at just about every major casino,” said Falzone, who has lived in the Las Vegas area for almost two decades. “But I’m pretty sure the casinos’ legal departments would not like to hear me talk about its dirty floors that I helped clean.”

Before branching out on his own, Falzone helped build a multimillion-dollar chemical supply store location with Bridgepoint Interlink Supply. He also excelled in the carpet cleaning industry as a certified Chemdry technician and selling Hydramaster cleaning equipment.

The first Coval Stone Certification Course will be offered free on the third day of Falzone’s Stone, Masonry and Tile Certifications (SMT) class on October 17-19, 2023, at the IICRC Global Resource Center in Las Vegas, Nevada. For more information, visit covaltechnologies.com.
