Louisville Tile, a tile distributor based in Louisville, Kentucky, has acquired American Olean Midwest, a wholesale tile distributor headquartered in Elk Grove Village, Illinois. The acquisition expands Louisville Tile's footprint to nine contiguous states: Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kentucky, Michigan, Minnesota, Ohio, Tennessee and Wisconsin. 

"With this acquisition, we are able to expand into three new markets and consolidate two existing markets," said Louisville Tile CEO Matthew Saltzman. 

American Olean Midwest’s Chicago and South Bend branches will be consolidated into Louisville Tile's existing branches, Saltzman said. The acquisition expands the Louisville Tile team by 24 employees, bringing the total team membership to 290 across the nine states.
