Each year at Coverings, the Tile Council of North America members come together to give back to a different community every year. This year was an adorable one. Members created and donated tile doghouses to Florida Little Dog Rescue to support their mission.
Founded in 2009, Florida Little Dog Rescue (FLDR) rehabilitates unwanted, abused, and abandoned little dogs and places them in loving and responsible homes to live out their lives as cherished family members. FLDR rescues dogs from all over the state of Florida, but its focus is the Central Florida area. FLDR is 100% volunteer-based, which means no overhead or salary costs. FLDR receives no governmental funding; its mission is strictly supported through the generosity of donations.
Over a dozen companies participated by tiling the doghouses in a variety of unique styles. A few companies even incorporated their newest collections within their display.
With multiple different techniques, color palettes, and patterns, these lucky pups will be the envy of every other dog in the neighborhood.
On display at TCNA’s booth at Coverings were a few doghouses as well as adoptable puppies from FLDR. These luxurious doghouses were raffled off to raise funds for the medically needy pups that arrive at the rescue. So, these doghouses serve two purposes: a new space for a stylish new pup and helping dogs in need of assistance.
