Couristan, Inc., has named Tommy Armistead vice president of area rug sales for the company’s mass merchant accounts.    

As an industry veteran with over 10 years of experience in the home furnishings and area rug industries, Armistead will lead and execute Couristan’s exploration and strategic development of new business opportunities within the furniture store and mass merchant segments. 

Most recently, Armistead was employed by JLA Home where he served the company as its VP of sales overseeing the company’s Area Rug Division. Prior he served as national account manager at Balta Home.
