During the closing event of CCA Global Partners summer convention at the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville, Tennessee, the company announced a $50,000 donation to Floor Covering Education Foundation (FCEF), a non-profit dedicated to attracting a new generation of flooring craftsman and installers.
Keith Spano, president of Flooring America, Flooring Canada, the International Design Guild and The Floor Trader; and John Gilbert, president of Carpet One Floor & Home, shared the news with retailers who gathered in Nashville together for annual convention.
FCEF brings awareness to the career opportunities in the flooring industry – from recruiting new talent, aiding in the funding of the student’s education, and facilitating job placement into flooring industry careers.
“We constantly communicate with our members, and installation continues to be one of the biggest issues our members face today,” Spano said. “Along with our members, we want to do more to support FCEF’s mission to attract more people to pursue a career in flooring installation.”
Both Spano and Gilbert encouraged members to join them in donating to FCEF. “We see this $50,000 investment as just the beginning of our commitment to attracting more workers to trade careers and flooring,” Gilbert said.
The donation will go toward FCEF’s singular mission: attracting a new generation of trade workers to the flooring industry.
“FCEF is grateful for CCA’s support, and this donation brings us one step closer to reaching our goals,” said Jim Aaron, executive director, FCEF. “We need the entire industry to come together to spread awareness and help us find tomorrow’s flooring craftsmen.”
