Dean Craft, principal and co-founder of ISE Logik Industries, has been elected director of the southeast region for the Construction Specifications Institute’s (CSI) national board of directors.
CSI is a non-profit organization of more than 7,000 members founded in 1948 focused on improving the communication of construction information through development of standards and formats, education and certification of professionals to improve the building industry.
ISE Logik Industries is a specialist in vapor mitigation science for new concrete slab construction or floor renovation over existing concrete. “Our focus is ever on saving projects time and money when it comes to addressing this ever-present and frustrating issue," Craft said.
Craft has presented over 1,000 times on how to proactively address concrete moisture in the design phase. He is the principal author and technical chair of ASTM F3191–16: “Standard Practice for Field Determination of Substrate Water Absorption (Porosity) for Substrates to Receive Resilient Flooring," and is a voting member of the ASTM Committee D08 on roofing and waterproofing, among others.
