Indian Summer Carpet Mills (d.b.a. Southwind Carpet & Hard Surface), a flooring products company in Dalton, Georgia, announced that it has entered into an agreement to sell its assets and business operations to BAMR Holdings, Inc., of Franklin, Tennessee.

BAMR Holdings is part of the family of companies owned by American entrepreneur Tom Sullivan that includes Cabinets To Go, the nation’s largest specialty retailer of cabinets, closets and flooring; Gracious Home, a luxury home goods retailer; and Thos Baker, a provider of fine outdoor furniture.

“We are extremely excited to add Southwind to our group of companies specializing in quality home products," Sullivan said. "They are a great company with great people. We don’t plan on changing much other than increasing the marketing to support the over 5000 current Southwind dealers across the country."

“Our plan is to simply help Southwind continue its’ growth as a full-service flooring supplier to the dealer and commercial building supply markets while quickly providing additional offerings for them to sell," said BAMR President and CEO Jason Delves.

In a statement, the company said Southwind President Randy Hatch and EVP Richard Abramowicz will retire from Southwind after the transaction is complete. The company will operate as Southwind Building Products, LLC, and Bret Perkins will serve as the new company’s president. The transaction is expected to close in the second quarter of 2021.
