Interface and 19 other companies have joined Amazon’s Climate Pledge, committing to neutralize their carbon emissions, Amazon announced this week.
Fifty-three companies have now signed the Climate Pledge. Members agree to measure and report their greenhouse gas emissions, decarbonize their businesses, and purchase offsets to bring their total carbon emissions to zero by 2040, 10 years ahead of the goal set by the Paris Agreement of 2050.
Interface has been committed to sustainability efforts for more than 25 years, including developing the lowest carbon footprint flooring products in the industry (including the first carbon negative carpet tile) and ongoing transparency and innovation into lowering the carbon footprint of its manufacturing and supply chain. The company has also publicly committed to being a carbon negative enterprise by 2040.
