FCICA held its first virtual meeting: Mid-Year Meeting 2020 FCICA: Connecting the Flooring Community.

Flooring industry professionals, premier commercial flooring contractors, distributors, manufacturers and consultants were able to connect at this two-day Mid-Year Meeting. Overall, the response has been positive, attendance numbers grew and speakers presented on a wide range of industry topics at this first virtual venture. 

Over 400 registrants attended 5 educational sessions, 10 associate presentations, 3 happy hours and networked with one another via the event app. Attendees were able to participate in the event for free.

While an in-person meeting is ideal, FCICA’s first virtual event proved to be an educational, informative and accessible meeting option. Indeed, ease of participation - from the office or home - allowed for a broader audience reach within the flooring industry and beyond.

Pat Kelly of Synergy Flooring and FCICA's Board Chair, Catherine Church, FCICA Executive Director and Rick Church, FCICA Managing Director welcomed attendees to the event. The meeting then opened with a keynote address by James Lesslie, President of the Commercial Division of Engineered Floors. James spoke on a timely topic: ‘Commercial Business Overview’.

The keynote kick off was followed by two full days of back-to-back educational sessions and presentations from 10 of FCICA’s associate members.
