The board of directors of Xpress Global Systems, a logistics provider based in Chattanooga, Tennessee, announced the departure of CEO Darrel Harris effective October 31, 2020. COO Dale Davis will be named interim president and COO of XGS effective November 1, 2020.

The company said Harris has decided to pursue a growth opportunity as a senior officer with a larger organization. In a statement, the board of directors said: 

"Since 2016, Harris has been instrumental to the success of the organization, and while we will miss his passionate leadership, we wish him the best of luck in his new endeavor. We want to thank Darrel for his contributions, which involved many significant accomplishments, including: Assembling a strong executive leadership team, focused on continuous improvement to enhance the customer experience; Expanding the XGS network, to provide the greatest coverage of the U.S. population in floor covering logistics; Enhancing the go-to-market strategy for XGS to provide holistic solutions for the floor covering community, to include warehousing, cutting, pick and pack and local distribution."
