End Grain collection by Havwoods Flooring gets its name as it’s made from the grain of wood seen when it is cut across the growth rings. Rather than cutting a plank of wood the length of the trunk, end grain wood is cut at a 90-degree angle to the grain. This type of cut exposes the character of the wood rings and graining.
As with a chopping block, the surface of an end-grain tile is incredibly tough and durable. Havwoods' End Grain collection boards are all glued to a backing, to ensure a stable engineered floor.
End Grain is a special introduction as part of the Henley product range, which offers a fashion forward product, that is pre-finished with texture. Every product is tested to ensure that the processes involved to create these textures do not weaken the structure of the wood itself, thus making them an excellent choice in high footfall applications.
