Exhibits at Domotex USA open today at the Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta with an array of floor covering trendsetters from around the globe.
Manufacturers from China, Germany, India, Italy, the Netherlands, Turkey and more join American manufacturers such as Anderson Tuftex (a division of Shaw Industries), Dixie Group, Milliken & Company, Mullican Flooring and USFloors (a division of Shaw Industries) to display soft and hard flooring designs plus the latest application and installation technologies. Many of this year’s international exhibitors also exhibit at other Domotex portfolio shows and are utilizing DOMOTEX USA 2020 in Atlanta to introduce their flooring products to retailers, distributors, home builders, contractors, remodelers, interior designers and residential floor covering installers focused on the North American residential marketplace.
As a leader in flooring IP and technologies, Netherlands-based I4F believes it is critical to be everywhere its customers are around the world. New to Domotex USA this year, I4F will showcase some new as well as existing technologies, including its 3L TripleLock and Click4U, the company’s flagship flooring installation systems already available in the U.S.
“I4F supports the global flooring industry by licensing cutting-edge technologies in the areas of locking, materials and panel composition, board and wall panels, surface finishing, digital printing and manufacturing processes,” said John Rietveldt, I4F CEO. “During our displays across the Domotex portfolio of global trade shows, I4F is introducing several technologies and building on existing platforms. Locking is, and will remain, our core business with digital printing and material savings as our other key focus areas,” he adds.
At Domotex USA 2020, I4F will display its new patented technology, LevioTech, that enables manufacturers to save up to 15 percent on materials during the production of rigid polymer boards. The technology enhances productivity by optimizing the extrusion process during the production of rigid polymer boards, including expanded polymer core (EPC) and solid polymer core (SPC) panels. I4F is showcasing several other new technologies belonging to its “pick and choose” Patent Cluster Concept, comprising close to 3,000 patents and technologies, including a surface finishing treatment delivering the ultimate matte look with enhanced benefits and a breakthrough MgO, veneer board that resolves virtually all the disadvantages currently associated with natural wood flooring. “Our cutting-edge digital printing offerings will become very obvious to those visiting our booth in Atlanta,” noted Rietveldt.
Italian company Filomaestro, the creator of a highly technical carpet fiber named The Bibielle Fiber, will be showcasing its new Filomaestro carpets at DOMOTEX USA for the first time in 2020. Filomaestro carpets are made from The Bibielle Fiber, a continuous multifilament yarn, BCF (bulk continuous filament), with a total dimension at least five times higher than maximum dimensions available on the market. Filomaestro carpets exhibit extraordinary three-dimensionality and visual dynamism that are highly resistant, resilient, durable and dimensionally stable.
Filomaestro exhibited at DOMOTEX Hannover in 2019 and 2020. The company also exhibited at DOMOTEX asia/CHINAFLOOR in Shanghai in 2019 and will be present in 2020. “Based on our success at these DOMOTEX portfolio shows, we decided to promote our unique carpets to the U.S. marketplace to expand the global growth of our business,” said Enrico Beccario, CEO of Filomaestro.
India-based SRI Color System, a multipurpose wool and textile color reference system, returns to DOMOTEX USA in 2020 to showcase its yarns and color boxes primarily to U.S.-based interior designers and to expand its sales across North America. In addition to its display at the inaugural DOMOTEX USA and this year’s show in Atlanta, SRI Color System has exhibited at DOMOTEX in Hannover for more than 10 years.
“We look forward to exhibiting again at DOMOTEX USA in 2020 and are excited that the show has partnered with ASID to expand its reach to interior designer professionals,” said Abdul Rab of SRI Color System.
Vancouver-based XL Flooring utilizes an advanced manufacturing process in Korea to produce luxury vinyl tiles and planks, and plans to educate DOMOTEX USA 2020 attendees on the value proposition of its products and the XL Flooring brand. “While not a new market for us, the U.S. is very much our target market for sales expansion,” said Andreas Michael, marketing and communications manager at XL Flooring. “Our LVT products are extremely versatile and can be installed in both residential and commercial properties. We look forward to reaching all of the floor covering professionals DOMOTEX attracts to its Atlanta event.”
