Concord, N.C. -- Bonitz, Inc. announced the promotion of two key associates into leadership roles in the Winston-Salem, N.C., and Knoxville, Tenn., markets. William Huckaby has been promoted to Winston-Salem managing partner, and Clay Chapman to Knoxville managing partner.

A graduate of Appalachian State University, Huckaby started his Bonitz career in 2008 as an estimator in the Bonitz Contracting Group before being appointed acoustical division manager of Charlotte, N.C., in 2014. He will succeed Todd Wade in his new role as managing partner in Winston-Salem, N.C., bringing to the market his substantial experience in acoustical ceilings to pair with an already successful commercial flooring business. Wade will continue to oversee the Winston-Salem market in his role as senior vice president with Bonitz, Inc.

"With over 10 years of experience on the contracting side of the business, and specifically the acoustical ceilings business, William has the unique opportunity to elevate the already very successful flooring business in Winston-Salem to new heights," said Pete Larmore, Bonitz president and CEO. "We are very excited to see William continue his leadership journey."

After 10 years with Bonitz in Greenville, S.C., Clay Chapman will transition into the managing partner role in Knoxville Tenn. A graduate of Clemson University, Chapman brings a unique background in both sales and project management to his new leadership role. Chapman will succeed Mike Roberts, who was the original founding managing partner of the Bonitz Knoxville office. The official leadership transition will occur in 2020.

"I am very excited for Clay, our Knoxville team and for Bonitz as a whole," said Roberts. "I think this move is strategic and brilliant, and I look forward to seeing their continued success."
