UNILIN, division technologies will showcase for the first time at Cersaie 2019 and will present new technologies in various ceramics areas, including easy-to-install glueless click tiles, ecological digital ink, water draining tiles, and high impact-resistant floating floors.

These technologies will be offered to the whole ceramics industry through a licensing program. Technologies that will be on display include: ForTile, FlinTile, Ecolor Ink, AutenTile, and DeltaTile.

ForTile is a floating ceramic tile floor that can be installed on all kinds of sub-floor constructions. The steel plate underlay forms a hidden high-impact resistant structure. This patented technology is well-suited for heavy duty floors in commercial buildings. FlinTile is a floating ceramic-look vinyl-based tile, with an easy-to-install integrated glueless locking system, available in large format. Joints may be grouted to obtain a water impermeable surface. The minimal thickness of the flooring system makes it an ideal product for renovation purposes or DIY projects.

Ecolor Inks are new eco-solvent-based inks that significantly reduce harmful emissions and odour while retaining the same performance as standard inks and glazes. AutenTile, a patented production tool, manufactures look-alike tiles with tumble-finished edges having a highly authentic appearance. The patented surface structure of DeltaTile creates a pathway for water drainage, making them ideal for raised floors on terraces or balconies.

UNILIN, division technologies is not only looking for ceramic manufacturers but also new partners that have interest in using UNILIN, division technologies patent and licensing expertise to market and monetize their innovations. Filing IP rights, such as patents, trademarks and designs is a common way of protecting huge efforts spent in research and development. However, the investment in obtaining such IP rights is often regarded as a pure loss by companies due to the lengthy learning curve and time commitment.

With more than 20 years of experience in patenting and licensing innovative ideas, together with auditing and supporting existing licensees, UNILIN, division technologies is the strong partner to help partners protect and profit more fully from their products and technologies. Several innovative companies in the ceramics industry have already partnered up with UNILIN, division technologies to co-develop or license their technologies, including Sicer, Steelker, Marazzi, Dal-tile, Interno 504.
