Dalton, Ga. -- American hardwood supplier Emily Morrow Home has announced a partnership with Village HopeCore in Chogoria, Kenya, in which the company will donate a portion of Emily Morrow Home’s sales to support the clinic’s work and to provide bed netting to protect the newborns and their mothers from mosquito-borne illnesses.
Emily Morrow Finkell, founder of Emily Morrow Home, was familiar with the work of Dr. Phil Rasori, Village HopeCore medical director, before traveling to South Africa and made it a point to meet with him during her stay. She spent time learning about the about the non-profit organization, located in the slopes of Mount Kenya, and the numerous ways they help support the health and wellness of women and children in rural communities.
“Through our medical programs, we teach those in underdeveloped areas how to take care of their health and that of their families,” said Rasori. “We combine our teachings with prenatal support, care for newborns and mothers, and free clinical services throughout the Maara Sub County.”
