Jacksonville, Fla. -- Flooring distributor Cain & Bultman has promoted Kirk Sandifer to chairman of the board and chief operating officer, effective as of June 1. Sandifer will lead all sales, marketing, logistical and operational responsibilities for the company. He will also assume the responsibilities of leading the board of directors for the strategic planning, growth, and profitability of the corporation.

Sandifer began as a territory representative, selling carpet in the late 1980s. For the last 10 years, he has taken on more responsibilities, including marketing, product development, and critical decision making. Prior to this promotion, he served as executive vice president.
