Lunada Bay Tile has launched Origami Field, a glass field tile collection that reflects the iconic Japanese art of geometric paper folding. Featuring opalescent coloring and three-dimensional shapes, the distinctive glass tile designs play with light and shadow.

Origami Field comes in six shapes, each with a pattern that emerges both visually and dimensionally. Moxie resembles unfolded origami, creating a kaleidoscopic effect as you move past. The narrow wave pattern of Verve, which appears to move as it reflects the light, is reminiscent of the shimmering ocean when sunlight dances upon it. Meanwhile, the Trapeze pattern expands outward from the surface in a subtly slanted square form, whereas Lacuna was designed to bow inward like a folded leaf. Rounding out the collection are two linear options, Elation, whose rectilinear form shifts in thickness along its length, creating a tapered wedge; and Ambit, a play on the hexagon that broadens in both thickness and width in the center.

Each of the tiles is available in nine colors in a pearl finish: Crystal, Latte, Bancha, Clear, Aqua Blue, Cottage Blue, Silver, Java Blue and Midnight Black.Origami Field is an extension of Lunada Bay Tile’s Origami line, which also includes mosaic tiles in four patterns and eight colors.
