WarmlyYours Radiant Heating is partnering with SEN Design Group to co-sponsor an upcoming business conference that seeks to help the next generation of kitchen and bath dealers, designers, and professionals get a foothold in the industry. The inaugural NEXTgen Future Business Leaders Conference will be held Oct. 18-19, 2017 in Austin.
The conference will be geared toward helping kitchen and bath design professionals seeking to own or run their own businesses and family-owned businesses seeking to transition ownership to the next generation, and will focus on providing the useful and practical skills necessary for running a business that aren’t often taught in business school, along with providing attendees an opportunity to network with others in the industry.
“It has always been the SEN Design Group’s mission to educate kitchen and bath dealers and design/build firms so they can become better business people,” said Leah Peterson, executive vice president of SEN Design Group. “We recognize that this applies to the next generation of owners as well. As the leading business education organization, we feel the responsibility to start the movement by creating NEXTgen: Future Business Leaders.”
The emphasis on education is clear from the workshops that will be offered during the conference, such as “How to Understand and Read Financials” and “The Presentation Needed to Secure a Bank Loan.”
“We’ve always placed a premium on providing education,” said Julia Billen, owner and president of WarmlyYours. “Being a part of this important conference is an exciting way to continue that goal.” In addition to SEN Design Group and WarmlyYours, the conference is being sponsored by Caesarstone, NARI, Task Lighting, O’Rielly DePalma, and Medallion.
