This year at NeoCon, Aquafil USA introduced Econyl Pure, dyeable fiber made from 100% regenerated nylon, at least 50% of which is post-consumer waste. Econyl Pure offers flexibility in design while helping designers contribute to a more sustainable future by using a product with a closed-loop production system. This fiber was also featured with a custom carpet produced by Mannington for this year’s showroom, and Aquafil USA was awarded a Best of NeoCon Gold Award in carpet fiber.
Aquafil’s window display on the 11th-floor showroom was also renovated for this year’s show. Carpet samples using Econyl fiber from Interface, Mannington, Tandus, and Delos Rugs were intermingled with textile samples of clothing, swimsuits, and fishnet tights from Outerknown, Levi, Speedo, Adidas, Auria London, Volcom and Kunert, a sample of the textile brands using Econyl fibers in their products.
