“There are so many truly astounding booth displays, which really highlights the passion in the industry for tile and stone as stylish design statements,” said Jennifer Hoff, president of Taffy Event Strategies, the producers of Coverings. “We congratulate this year’s winners, who all enhanced the wow factor of the show floor.”
Overall Best in Show was presented to Florim Ceramiche (#1228) for its architectural elements and integration of technology into the booth display. Judges noted that the large digital screen brought a sense of dynamism to the booth experience. The many spaces within the booth itself showcased a spectacular portfolio of tile products.
“We are very thankful to receive this award,” said Marco Fregni, CEO of Florim USA. “Our booth illustrates Florim’s overall focus on beautiful design for today’s spaces.”
Grespania (#5222) was honored for “Organic Inspiration,” featuring natural-shape cut-outs. The organic cut-out lines complemented the large format tile products used on the booth exterior, including stone and rusted metal look panels.
Gruppo Ceramiche Ricchetti (#2328) earned the award for Best Brand Synergy, bringing together three brands: Ceridisa, Ricchetti, and Cisa Ceramiche. With three dedicated spaces showcasing the individual brand personalities, the booth featured an overarching roof with a balcony designed to tie all the spaces together.
Porcelanite Lamosa (#3122) won the “Rustic Meets Modern” award. The booth blended warm, earthy looks with elements that evoke a more contemporary statement. Judges complimented the attention to detail throughout, including unique shapes, angles, and integrated lighting that dialed up the drama factor of the booth.
The “Best Use of Space” honor went to Ceramiche Refin (#1711). The multidimensional booth featured tile on a variety of planes and surfaces, including the ceiling. Although a smaller footprint, the utilization of space was unique with so many elements showcasing tile, illustrating tile’s versatility and range of possible applications.
StonePeak Ceramics (#2610) was awarded “Best Experiential Booth,” as the company hosted a live cooking demonstration in the booth’s kitchen vignette in which a chef prepared food for attendees using liquid nitrogen. This interactive element built on the booth’s home-inspired design, bisected to create two distinct rooms, one displaying high-gloss white tiles throughout, giving a polished, contemporary look, and the other incorporating beiges and warmer hues to create a more traditional aesthetic.
The “Boutique Design” honor was presented to Vives (#4939) for an exterior mosaic feature and a unique palette of tiles in pastel hues on the interior. The booth also included gold accents that elevated the overall design.
