CCA Global Partners recently announced the recipients of its annual scholarship created in honor of its co-founder, Alan Greenberg.

The Alan Greenberg Memorial Scholarship recognizes young entrepreneurs within the Carpet One family.

Each year, two recipients are awarded a $5,000 scholarship to use on their education as they work toward their entrepreneurial goals.

This year’s recipients are Conner Thomas and Jessica Nagel.

Thomas is the son of Richard Thomas, operations manager at Aggieland Carpet One Floor & Home. Conner is an avid outdoorsman and dedicated Boy Scout. He also owns and operates his own lawn care business. He has spent his summer working as a ranger at Philmont Scout Ranch in the mountains of northern New Mexico.

Nagel is a design assistant at ProSource of Kalamazoo, Mich., which is owned by Carpet One Floor & Home member, Lori Ruimveld. Nagel is currently studying interior design at Western Michigan University and has created a budding photography business.

The Alan Greenberg Memorial Scholarship Fund has now awarded 16 scholarships for a total of $80,000.

“I’m honored to be able to award these scholarships in memory of my father,” said Tod Greenberg, vice president of technology at CCA Global. “I’m continually amazed at the vibrant entrepreneurial spirit of our applicants.”

Two more $5,000 scholarships will be awarded in 2017. Applications will be accepted starting in January 2017. Anyone associated with Carpet One Floor & Home—from sales professionals to staff as well as family members—with an entrepreneurial spirit who wants to advance their education is eligible to apply.
